English FUNdation is an all-rounded program that has been specially created by Fun To Learn. Instead of just playing loads of internet videos like other centres, we use our own interactive PPT and activities which have been professionally created by our founders during circle time.

English FUNdation covers and consolidates all four language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing.

Generally, primary schools expect children to enter with the proficiency and knowledge of reading and spelling simple English words (vocabulary) and constructing simple sentences (grammar).

At Fun To Learn, building a close teacher-student relationship is one of our main goals. We believe that the strength of our student relationships makes the difference in translating our passion for teaching into their passion for learning.

Knowledge of letter-sound correspondences is essential in both reading and writing. Through our English FUNdation Level 2 program, we help your child to learn the letter-sound association better as our well-designed materials enable your child to work on word association and sounds. Students can improve their handwriting skills in the meantime. They will also be able to recognise different nouns and adjectives.

Everything is based on our weekly topic, our circle time and PPT which is designed in a fun, interactive way for children to enjoy learning English.

Interactive presentations and class activities have always been the goal for us. They help students engage in the lessons by having them actively participate instead of passively listening to lectures. We want to make sure that our classes are both educational and enjoyable at the same time.

Our Class Routine:

  • In the first 5 minutes, children greet one another as well as the teacher and get ready for the lesson.

  • From the 5th to 25th minute: Circle time which includes songs, stories, reading and verbal practice based on our weekly theme.

  • From the 25th to 55th minute: Children do their classwork under the guidance of our teachers. They practice the letter sounds, handwriting and reading words as well as forming some simple sentences.

  • From the 55th to 75th minute: Time for the fun activities! Since games can create a positive association with learning for students in the classroom, it is a great way for young learners to revise vocabulary while having fun. We have flash cards for them to practice their reading skills as well, and a reading / spelling competition is always a great idea!
